We’re proud to announce that MIHEI has been selected as a semifinalist in the prestigious MIT Solve 2025 Global Challenge, recognizing innovative solutions that advance health equity and access.

Our selection spotlights our AI-powered maternal referral system and low-cost maternal HMO designed to address Nigeria’s high maternal mortality rates. In communities where Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) conduct most deliveries, our hybrid tool bridges the gap between TBAs and hospitals—enabling timely referrals, emergency response, and affordable care for pregnant women who are too often left behind.

This recognition brings us one step closer to building a safer, more equitable maternal health system in Nigeria—where no woman is denied care because of her location or financial status.
